how to decrease 3.7 volts to 1.5 volts ( use for wall clock, etc. )

3.7 volts rechargeable battery
variable resistor 202
variable resistor 10k

ORIGINAL CIRCUIT DOES NOT WORK WITH A WALL CLOCK! SO I MODIFIED IT AND ACTUALLY GOT IT TO WORK BY INTRODUCING ANOTHER COMPONENT LIKE A TRANSISTOR BC547 TO STABILIZE THE VOLTAGE AND CURRENT

Variable Resistor 202 = 20 x 10 x 10 = 2000 = 2K Ohms

Yes the preset is 2k not 20 k. First of this setup will drain the battery and the soldered terminals are to be de-soldered to re-charge the battery.
