How to decrypt your games for CFW PS3 | Fix error 80010017

Quick tutorial to fix error 80010017 caused by your PS3 games being encrypted. Done on cfw 4.90 with webman
Other things can cause this issue, such as the game disk or drive being damaged. This video focuses on decrypting the game being the solution, using simple gui for PS3 dec.

Honestly I never like or subscribe to tutorial videos but buddy…. Ur the man. I’ve tried so many different applications to decrypt my iso and none of them worked, I tried iso tools, ps3 disk ripper, ps3 game export, and even another version of ps3 DEC that I need to manually run through cmd. But this was the only one that worked and BY FAR THE SIMPLEST AND FASTEST. Thank you

Thanks, mate. I can confirm it works on Hen. You can also extract decrypted iso and copy game folder to your external driver and then copy it to PS3 HD through mmCM.

This video is helpful. I also want to share my alternative solution: Installing the latest Evilnat (4.91 CFW PEX) and using MultiMAN 4.91 to start the game. With this method, you don't need to perform the decryption process on the computer. With Evilnat-MultiMAN combination you can use encrypted ISOs, just add the dkey file in the same directory (PS3ISO). The ISO and DKEY file should be the exact same name.

Decrypted games can stiil give that error... Tomb Raider (Europe) and Driver 3 San Francisco stiil spits the same error code out,even though they are decrypted with SimpleGUI V1.21 and the latest dkeys 😢

Don’t know if you’re seeing this but this is my issue. I have many different Call of Duty’s that I downloaded off of DLPSGames. Every game works besides Black Ops 1 for some reason. I downloaded two separate BO1 game files because I thought maybe the other one from another site would work. The game does appear on my PlayStation however the issue is that it stays on a black screen. I don’t get the same error as you though it just stays on the black screen which I have to turn off the PlayStation by holding the power button. I am trying this method you recommended to see if that maybe fixes it. However I downloaded MW2 from DLPSGames and I believe all games usually on there are decrypted because that game works fine for me. It’s just Black Ops 1 for me.

pkg files are usually downloaded from a store, and for those you need a playstation metwork ID. those are the only ones i can get to work, ripping my own ISOs ive yet to get one work

Already got a sub bro I’m really new to all this lol first ps3 im 25 lol but im on 4.84 Dex and. So, you need: * webMAN, multiMAN and USB stick in NTFS format, do this using "Rufus" software on PC. * If you don't have webMAN and multiMAN on your PS3, search on YT a tutorial, i can't tell you here on the comments. If you already have it, here is the steps (don't miss any step). 1 - On PS3, open multiMAN > 2 - PFS Driver (Toggle between FAT32 and NTFS driver) > 3 - Switch to mmCM mode (Restart multiMAN into Cobra compatible mode) > 4 - File Manager / mmOS (Manage files and folders) > 5 - pvd_usb001 or pvd_usb002 (USB port 1 or 2) > 6 - Copy your games for their respective folders Done!
