How To Defend The Inside Zone

This episode is dedicated to defending the inside zone run concept. We will be discussing the rock back technique and how it is used to take away what the offense wants to do to the defense. This video will also be talking about the pre snap identifiers, play characteristics, the mesh (QB/RB Handoff), and defeat techniques.

Coach Hayes, how would u defend against a un=balanced flex-bone team with a 425 defensive?

On that last play from the offense, against a 4-3. What do you think would happen if both the D tackles shot A gap, both D-ends shot B gap and both outside linebackers shot C gap basically having outside contain responsibility? I'm the defense coordinator for a 6th grade team. We are having trouble stopping the QB on spread zone reads. I'd love to hear your thoughts. So in your experience, have they countered with Spot route on the rock back side? Seems like the LB pouring over for run protection would open up the passing lanes. We often line up in a 3x1 and run stick, behind the Read. If the end pursues the T, then Q now has a second read if they cannot get four yards
