I woke up with a thought to clean my deep freezer. That thought alone could cause anyone to dread the task. Here I'm showing how easy it is no matter how big the freezer is. None of my food melted while defrosting my freezer. Thanks for stopping by friends.

Thank you so much, great help and info!😃👍🏼 How easy, I will do that tomorrow,. My problem is just that I have so many berries and tomatoes in it, so I decided that I will pack the harder to defrost food around the berries and tomatoes, and hope it will not defrost my food🤔😧 I mean, only One hour, that has to be ok!☺️👍🏼

Your berries will be fine, trust me. Put all of the frozen food in one container together, it would take a long time to defrost. If you want put some extra ice on top. Hope this was helpful.👍🏾🥂

sho'nuff gonna keep it real witcha hi there again!. It is done, and it was SO easy, it took one hour, as you said, mine was 25% lagrer, so I used 3, 2000 ml, or 2 liters pans, and it worked amazingly well.😍😃👍🏼 My freezer were full, so I used some coolers, the ones you take to the Beach, to cool your drinks, and a Big plastic box, wrapped it with some foam sleeping Mats we use for camping. It all worked perfect!. Thank you again!😘👍🏼 Next time I will not wait that long, when it is that easy!😃👍🏼

Thank you so very much. I just knew a woman would tell me that I could just get the defrosted water out with towels rather than deal with a big spill from a drain. I live in an upstairs apartment w/o a balcony to move to to drain outside. I was very concerned about creating a flood. That hot pot of water was a super idea, WOW! Now my food will not need to be out more than an hour tops. Your instructions where so thorough. Get teacher. Have a blessed day. ❤

FYI, if you look on youtube for the guy who defrosted his without even having to do any defrosting by tapping the rim of ice that was only on the upper portion of his freezer walls and let those big sheets of ice just literally loosen and fall into a waiting bag or box held against the freezer wall right below the ice, it's pretty mind-blowing. He even did it with it half full of food, and probably didn't even unplug it. He was done in like 15 minutes. He used a bright orange hammer he found on Amazon, sort of like with a soft coating on it but very heavy in weight, then lightly tapped the ice, and it broke right off into big sheets, and he discarded the ice afterward. It's a great find because you can do this if you don't have a lot of thick ice build up all over the freezer, necessitating a conventional defrost, and a little hammer tapping maintenance when the frost is beginning only on the top before it spreads may just be a way for you to keep it at bay for a much longer time with this type of maintenance.

Great tip. I had to do it 3 times. I haven't defrosted it in about 3 years. Once I removed all the big chunks of ice that fell off, I got one of those 2 "-3" deep aluminum baking pans, bent down one side to fit under the drainage valve then drained the water that way. I live in a studio apt so I cant drain it on the floor. Much quicker than sopping up the water with a towel. Once drained just wiped it down with a towel and it was good to go. Thanks

I think the point of the video was that you DO have to empty out the ENTIRE contents of your frozen foods in order to defrost it. No one must be reading the manual that came with the freezer, because the majority of them tell you to do it this way with a pot of hot water if you can't let it defrost naturally overnight. I'm just curious to know just how long the pot of boiling water was off the stovetop before placing it in the freezer AND if there is anything whatsoever underneath that potentially straight-from-the-burner pot that could damage the bottom interior by burning or compromising it. I think there's some people out there who might just put it straight onto the bottom seconds after taking it off the stovetop. That's not real SOLID metal down there lining the interior of this freezer, FYI, but rather insulation "metal."
@thatjerseyb
@thatjerseyb 5 жыл бұрын
@@Netafied well no shit. you have to take it out of the freezer, but you don't have to store it for 24-48 hours somewhere else to defrost the freezer. I did read my manual that came with it and it says to unplug the freezer and leave it for 48 hours... so the snarky comment was totally not necessary... there may be people who put the hot pot right on the bottom of the freezer... what do you care? put a trivet or a towel in the bottom and call it a day. if you're a freezer defrosting expert... why are you even watching this video?
@shonuffgonnakeepitreal
@shonuffgonnakeepitreal 5 жыл бұрын
FYI I took it straight from my gas stove and sat it down in my deep freezer. My mom use to defrost our old refrigerator this way. I didn't read a manual. I learned from my elders. I take the contents of the freezer out and store them in a huge storage container that i keep in the basement. Bada bing bada bung its done. 🤗

I've got to defrost my freezer. But I don't think it is very good for the unit to just place a boiling pot of water on the bottom of the freezer. Even if there is a layer of ice, you could damage the until. At the bottom of the freezer is a knob of some sort for water to flow out of.

@@shonuffgonnakeepitreal I'm here because I took out the plug on the inside and the plug on the outside and no water comes out. Yes it's easier to just toss a towel inside, but darn it, the drain system should work.

I live in a ground floor flat (apartment to some other people or a condo ),walk it into the bathroom and then lift it up onto the bath on an angle and then put the shower head on hot and defrosted like that within minutes and with the freezer being on an angle the water just pours out like a waterfall then put a towel in to mop up the excess water and then walk back to where it originally was and then put the food back in and the whole process only takes 20 mins, it works for me and these modern models are only light anyway so the lifting for me is ok ,but I don't expect everyone to be able to do this method.
