Best way is to clear cache and user data by long pressing on the message icon..then info..and the "Clear user data" and "Clear Cache Data"

@hxneybri1461 let me try. So when you select your message icon, go to the message list. Find the person with the messages you want to remove by bulk. There are 2 ways from here depending on the model and age of your phone. I have a note 20 ultra, so I had to hard press on the name and it will light up and your will have choices at the bottom. Hit the delete and every text between you and that person will delete by bulk. I got rid of 30k that way. For newer phones, my friend has a galaxy 23, she helped me. You hard press on the name, and then swipe right or left. I can't remember which but it deletes everything. Let me know if t works for you but we were both able to do it with this method. Nothing else i tried before that worked.

I tried to delete catche and user data..but the messages are syncing again from cloud. I figured out a dirty and relatively easy way than selecting one by one.. you can select 5 messages at once by spreading your fingers doesn't matter which ones are selected..just keep scrolling and select 5 in a bunch ..once you selected a decent amount delete them in bunch.. Ps: only one works for a 5 finger person 😊
