It’s done purposefully to deter you from leaving. You gotta remember you scrolling through Instagram for just a couple minutes makes them money. You scroll through lots of ads without even realizing it, cable companies do a similar bs when you try to leave them too.

They changed it. So now you need to 1. From Settings, go to Account and navigate to Accounts Centre 2. Under Personal Details, choose Account Ownership and Control. 3. Select deletion, press continue, and choose a random reason 4. Finally, enter your ig password and tap delete account.
