didnt work. when i reopen whatsapp the app wont go past the only msg i get which is 'Date is inaccurate' and a button below which says 'adjust date' apart from that i cannot access whatsapp because if i press adjust the date it opens my phones date settings in order to change it. Airplane mode is on. I'm signed out of whatsapp on my other devices. what can i do??

i tried this on a group chat for messages that were 4 days old. All steps worked as you explained. To validate, I checked with a friend and it didn't actually delete from his whatsapp though now they are all deleted from my whatsapp. Any suggestions?

Noo! After you change your settings you have to Exit WhatsApp and Reopen in again and it will say "Delete for All". But it doesn't delete for the other person, it will only delete for you.

THIS SOLUTION DOESN'T WORK... "YOUR DEVICE DATE IS INACCURATE! ADJUST YOUR CLOCK AND TRY AGAIN". I followed as indicated, forced stop, disconnected wifi and mobile data, turn airplane mode on, and even cleared the whatsapp cache in the phone app but still keep getting the error.
