i just watched another video like this and you can delete the contact without blocking them. just click the people icon them contacts and then select the delete contact.

Unless it is a contact added from your phone contacts, then no, you cannot delete them from your contact list. You are STUCK with faces and names from eons ago, even if it was someone who said hi to you over 10 years ago. Obviously an app that doesn't know the basics, or perhaps does and it was developed to do just that. In other words, an app that forces you to not let go of the past, no matter how irrelevant.

All I did was barely touch someone's name on the messenger list and suddenly "we are now connected on messenger" I do not want this. There should be some kind of confirmation window first. But Noooooo... so now trying to figure out how to be "Unconnected on facebook" but you are saying we cannot UNCONNECT? We can ONLY block? Blocking sounds HOSTILE and I do not wish this person to believe I am hostile. MUST BE ANOTHER WAY. I don't want to remove people from the list, as one day I may want to be on messenger with them. MAYBE. And probably only temporarily. Surely there is some way to UNCONNECT with someone.
