I love seeing your beautiful profile picture in my comment feed Jeanie. Dad is doing good. Has been locked down for almost a year now. Not being able to travel is the hardest for him but having all this technology so he can stay connected to all of us kids, has been priceless. He has just received the vaccine and is hoping to be able to bust out of there at the beginning of March. lol As far as FB, yeah, I'm done with them. Only on it to help people that want to stay connected to family and friends over there. I'm actually on Gab, MeWe, and Rumble now. Building up a whole new following. @@Socialmedia4beginners Audrey, didn't you say you were also in FL? Praise God your dad wasn't affected. Mary went to be with the Lord in February of 2020 and although we were and are still very sad, we are thankful that she wasn't affected by the pandemic. She would never have been able to understand all of this with her dementia. I think I will check out the other platforms you mentioned. Thank you! Have a good rest of the day!

delete Facebook? OK! if I made a MeWe account, how do you transfer your friends from FB to MeWe? 1 at a time will take forever. Is there a way to just transfer all of them together? Same, transfer people that have joined your group on FB to MeWe?

I've got a question, but it's not about the subject matter... I cannot find an answer to this. When I comment on a public post, people in my Friends list will see the post and my comment in their newsfeed. Ugh - is there a way to remedy this? I'm to the point where I'm going to stop replying on a public post because of this.. Thanks for any insight you may have! Debbie in WA Ü

Unfortunately Debbie there is no real way to stop this. FB says it's all about that engagement and they assume that if you're friends with someone then you share the same interests and thinks maybe your friends would like to see what other friends are engaging with. It doesn't go in the news feed of ALL your friends I don't think but I always tell everyone that even in FB secret groups it's not really private so be mindful of what everyone can see. it's just the pitfall of using FB and their intrusive ways.

I am not the older generation I am probably your age but I need help ! LOL! I went to Google and followed the same instructions you are giving. But I have a MAC from what I remember you do too but mine does not give the option to deactivate only to permanently delete? . Is that a new thing where I cant deactivate it? The reason is I have too much stuff to download all at once. I don't want to lose it. So is there a reason mine doesn't have deactivate and it only says permanently delete? It actually says permanently delete?.Not just delete.

It really doesn't matter what age we are, we are all in this learning stage together. lol So, I am totally stumped as to why you only have the option to Delete and not just delete but permanently delete. Have you been switched over to the new FB design? It's just so strange that is the only options you have. Do you have the FB app on a smart phone or tablet?
