I researched KZbin to find out how to remove a mirror, do it without breaking and be generally safe, but I came up short for MY MIRROR DESIGN. There was just no getting it off through traditional means, and I didn't want to save it. So, this was the outcome.
The only videos I could find were of people who were college guys having too much fun and another video where the mirror was already taken off the wall. Neither of those situations worked for me, because I couldn't get the mirror off the wall, and I wasn't looking to be immature about it.
In this video, I show you what I did to prep for the breaking of a mirror to make it easily cleanable. Here are some tips I recommend:
1. Make sure you line the floor with items you can fold and transfer to a bin. I recommend using a canvas tarp. I was not able to save mine like I originally hoped to. So, I would go cheaper, because it's getting tossed anyway.
2. I would recommend having multiple bins lined and ready to go so you can separate the glass into lighter loads that the garbage men will take.
3. Make sure to protect your sinks and countertops. The glass is unforgiving.
4. Wear safety gear, long clothing and eye protection.
5. The duct tape on the mirror REALLY HELPED, so make sure you have that in place.
6. Cleanup took about 30 minutes. It wasn't really that bad.
