Totally agree with Rackspace. Had nothing but trouble from them.

I see the "Sudo" instruction. Since Windows doesn't do "Sudo", can all this be done through Windows machine?
@learncodeacademy
@learncodeacademy 10 жыл бұрын
If you're deploying to a linux server, then it doesn't matter - the sudo instruction will still need to be run.

@@erensrtky I tested mine on digital ocean and heroku I put my frontend on digial ocean and backend on heroku. You put the front end on netilify and backend on heroku or digital ocean.

@@chihabahmed5207 Thank you for explanation but i fixed my problem before. I am using digitalocean either and i set up a nginx web server and i deployed my built react files to /var/www/html directory which is default to serve files for nginx. And then i execute my node with pm2 which is a proceses managener for node then my api works on 3000 port and my react app works on 80.

Hi Will, I really love your tuts. I would like to point out though that Ubuntu is pronounced with the second "u" being like the "u" in "pull" or "puma." When the second u is pronounced the way you have in the past, it changes the meaning of the word from the name of the philosophy to "a man." "uBantu" sounds like "Those man" (sic) while ubuntu is akin to humanism (if directly translated from Xhosa/Zulu- not to be confused with the english word humanism which is a completely different world-view.) Thanks for the great tutorials!

Martin Menge Ah, thanks! I hear it pronounced so many different ways...and by some very great developers as well. So like this? kzbin.info/www/bejne/bZetd2iLfriSnqc

+matt baker The point of this video was more for node newbies...people maybe coming from a PHP background that don't even know where to begin with getting their node app into the wild. If you're comfortable with deployments already, check out my docker series for some more in-depth thoughts on scaling apps.

+TheGamersVerge Nah, DigitalOcean doesn't pay out for referral links, they just give you credit which expires after a year. I only use about $10 of credit a month for everything I use DigitalOcean for personally haha.
