This is so true, I had a website where I was dropshipping skincare products. I wrote an article "5 skin care tips for men" and I drove traffic to the blog post and didn't link any products. I just made sure the comments and reviews sections were active for interaction. I was getting questions from readers on where they can get these products, from the comments I just referred them to the products and curated it in such a way that they saw all the products I mentioned in the article. You are right Niel!

Brand trust has always been important - this is basic marketing and advertising knowledge, not SEO. It's been around for hundreds of years. It's not rocket science. Humans are inherently lazy and easily convinced. Tell them exactly what they need to know as quickly and convincingly as possible and you'll get their interest. I love how SEO guys think they've suddenly discovered something new... it's been around since the days of bartering.

You're correct that brand trust has always been important. Of course it has! But nowadays with the growth of social media and the Internet in general, brand trust is more important than ever! It's more of a purchasing factor than never before.

​@@neilpatel Agreed, many of the established and trusted brands we buy and trust on the internet today have built their brands on years of heritage or residual brand awareness from massive TV and advertising campaigns - things that took huge investment and as such earned trust based purely on the investment made in the brand - Coke, Nike, Adidas, KFC, McDonalds, Apple. Nowadays it's just too easy and cheap to start a brand on the internet, everyone is doing it, so there is an infinite pool of new brands, all fighting for your dollar on media platform where you can not own market share. If you were a new brand starting out from nothing, you'd really battle to gain loyalty and trust. There is just too much competition - everyone is doing it. They could buy a stock logo, create a quick Wix site, get a few fake reviews, make up some testimonials, gets some likes and followers... it's so easy to look like the real deal...

Tom's shoes seems like a bad example of capturing value. I never heard of Tom's shoes. From the words "96.5 million impacted - and counting, we've captured 13 years of giving" I have absolutely NO idea that they donate anything as you said they do. Giving? Giving what? No idea. And Olay eye circles have a broken image on their home page (in your screenshot) which is also bad for SEO, isn't it?
