1. **Check Layer**: Make sure the layer you want to apply the Liquify effect to is selected. It often works best with rasterized layers. 2. **Convert to Smart Object (if applicable)**: If you're using Photoshop or similar software, convert the layer to a Smart Object. This allows for non-destructive editing, meaning you can adjust or remove the Liquify effect without permanently altering the original image. 3. **Open Liquify Tool**: Go to the "Filter" menu, and select "Liquify." It should open a new window or side panel where you can adjust the settings. 4. **Select the Brush Tool**: Within the Liquify window, select the brush tool (often called the Forward Warp tool). You can then adjust the brush size and pressure to manipulate the image. 5. **Check Graphics Driver and Software Update**: Ensure your graphics driver is updated and your software is running the latest version. Sometimes, tools may not function correctly if there are compatibility issues.
