Each pond you build has so many functions... each is a quality habitat, an oasis for humans to find peace, an ARK for species, and a classroom to teach both ecology and the best techniques of construction. AWESOME!

How can the turtles hibernate if there is no dirt bottom? Wouldn't they tear the liner if they dig?

They won’t tear the liner as we installed a protective barrier over the rubber liner. We also installed some sand pockets in the pond along with underwater caves for the turtles.

What type of Turtles do you have?

@@EdThePondProfessor you can check out our Instagram page CasadeFinch. I have a good mix but my main species is Diamondback Terrapins but I also have painteds, cooters, soft shells, maps (Barbour and Ochita) a couple sulcata tortoises. Some three toe box turtles and some wood turtles as well

@@EdThePondProfessor we are a rescue as well so we get calls for a little bit of everything but next spring I want to add a shallow pond with a stream for a better swimming area for my box turtles and spotted turtles.
