Make sure you're using Gradient Overlay and not Color Overlay. Secondly, when using Gradient Overlay make sure you have the White + Transparent option selected as shown in this video.

how does it translate into actual shirt? The transparencies in the edges of the design and white shirt over white ink I think will look bad. Transparencies on DTG printer sucks.

The vast majority of my videos are geared toward screen printing, not DTG. You'd need to approach the design quite differently if you plan on using DTG.

Thanks so much for the comment! I always recommend working with a local screen printer. For one, it's great to support a local business. For two, it's great to have a direct contact with someone rather than a random customer service person. So I would just Google "Screen Printers (Your City)" or even better, make a post on Facebook and ask for recommendations in your area. 💯

I use RGB color mode for all my designs. Yes, this is intended to be screen printed but DTG would work fine too especially on white garments.

Just delete the background! If your intention is to print DTG you have to create the artwork with that in mind though. Most methods I use are intended for screen printed graphics.

Shouldn't be a problem for screen printing or DTG. I would recommend screen printing through for higher quality. They'll utilize a lot of halftones for the airbrushing effect.

Make sure you’re using the correct gradient selection. It should be a color and then the transparent grid. You probably have it set to two colors.
