How to DESIGN and COMPUTE a SEPTIC TANK | Revised National Plumbing Code PH |Quick Tips

This video tells you on how to properly design a septic tank in a residential project. No to copy paste septic tank details. Learn the needed volume and right dimensions for your future reference.
TAKE NOTE : In septic tanks having over 6 cum capacity, the secondary compartment should be not less than 1.5 m in length.
While there are listed design considerations that are not tackled like pipe size,slope,distance of pipe etc. This is just a preview of a septic design for size configuration. I will a make video for the right technical specs and considerations. Thanks!

Good day Ar.! Thank you for such an informative video. Question, I tried to compute the septic tank dimensions for a house with 1 or 2 bedrooms and I got 1.50 x 0.90 x 2.10 M (length). The digestive chamber is 1.4 m and leaching is 0.70 m. Is the dimension enough or is it too small? And is a 500x500 mm manhole suitable for this dimension? Thank you!

What happens to the effluent from the septic tank? Does it eventually reach a treatment facility like it’s supposed to or does it drain into a street canal that eventually goes to an estero or river and eventually to Manila bay?

It should go to main public or private sewarage system. It should not go directly to canals,estero, river. Unless its a storm water

Hi, septic vaults can only be used to residential projects, in a comml prject, you need na ng sanitary treatment plant, and the right professional to design that is a sanitary engineer :)

Hi sir Jim, depende din po kasi sa designer, si fajardo kasi is like an additional reference. Pero I opt to choose RNPC guidelines kasi dun din kinukuha yung fixture units when designing sanitary and waterline. hope it helps thanks!

salamat po architect, may tanong po ako, may nabasa po kase ako na dapat hindi dumiretso sa septic tank ung shower and laundry liquid waste since may mga sabon sya or chemical na pweding pumatay sa natural bacteria ng septic tank. so san po dapat mapunta ung waste na yun architect. salamat po sa sagot. solid viewer nyo po ako.
