I spent so much time trying to figure this out without really knowing what question I was trying to ask. This was perfect.

Yes I will try to resnap the nodes again. I also tried to select both nodes and join. My sister knows inkscape pretty well so Ill probably see her next week.

Hi. Thanks a lot for the video!

Again when I snapped the nodes together it read "cusp node to cusp node". It does appear that the nodes are snapping together. I'll try to send a pick of it

Not sure what I'm doing wrong. Please comment. I used the Bezier tool and traced an image of an angel. I made sure that the snapping tool was on and I snapped each node together. I did Path/combine, that went well. Then I did Path/stroke to path and this is what I got. A cut up jumbled image. The only thing I can think of is that my nodes are not fully connected as I thought.

Yeah if you find after doing that it looks a mess, it’s usually because the nodes have not snapped together. If you move the nodes again the mess should slowly resemble but by bit as you move the nodes j to place. Can also select the 2 nodes and there’s a connect nodes button top left I believe to make them as one

Stained Glass pieces need to have 1/32" space between each piece as that would be the thickness of the foil on each piece. How can that be achieved on the pattern?
@MARCAM2 жыл бұрын
Best way for that is to probably make the stroke line to your desired thickness and difference that from the design (to create the gap around each piece).

This is a great video...however, there is a youtube named Gryphern , she does glass art and has an older video on how to do this for stain glass and how to adjust the line for copper foil. if you need a visual on how to change it.

Thank you! And thank you for letting me know about that other creator. I was looking for someone who made a good video on this before 😊
