It would be cool to see you guys do a series on shooting anamorphic with some more budget-friendly, popular mirrorless cameras that have the capability!

If my squeeze is not there (1.33x) should I not use the anamorphic setting and just record in regular super 35 at 2.4:1?
@AtlasLensCo9 ай бұрын
Hi! If your camera does not have the desired squeeze - record in the master aspect ratio that you want delivered to divided by your anamorphic coefficient. Example: if you want to deliver 2.35:1 but you have a 1.33 anamorphic lenses you could record 16:9 mode and apply the desqueeze on your external monitor and in post.

@@AtlasLensCo what setting do I use for Red V Raptor (VV) ? I'm shooting on Atlas Orion 2x , but there is no 2x option in Raptor @4k
@AtlasLensCo5 ай бұрын
@@aaranyanramanujam1494 on a Raptor you can choose the anamorphic menu and set 8K 4:3 or 8k 6:5 with 2x . There is also 6k 4:3 and 6k 6:5 . Are you trying to shoot high speed (hence the 4k ?)
@aaranyanramanujam14945 ай бұрын
@@AtlasLensCo yes, shooting at 4K for high speeds
@AtlasLensCo5 ай бұрын
@@aaranyanramanujam1494 ok, makes sense - I would choose the highest resolution you want and then use the 2x anamorphic “monitor only” desqueeze on the smallHD external monitor. Sounds like we might need to do a follow up video :)
