I find that when my synthetic wigs are frizzed out and tangled, it helps to run a flat iron through it a couple times at the lowest setting, comb through, and repeat. Then recurl it using flex Rods while it's still warm. It always comes out as good as new 🤗

You can straighten frizz on heat resistant wigs to save the fibers

Using a metal brush on synthetic wigs will help prevent static as well and glides through like butter 😊

How do you get the pattern back with just your hands? If I comb and do that with my fingers with my wig the curl pattern is completely gone 😅

my only comment is that they wasted so much chunk of wig by doing that cutting, i have a lacefront syncthetic that boy it got rough and had areas like that, hot water, let it get to very barley damp, gently brush out from bottom to top with normal brush, then comb to get tiny knots, then heat comb or straingtener...ts painful and timeconsuming but so worth it to not have uneven cuts

Thank you for this :D! I'm a demon slayer cosplayer and I really needed a tutorial to fix my nezuko wig. When i got the wig it had beautiful curls and I made sure to never touch it or damage it before my con. Sadly the day of the con was windy and it messed up my wig so badly I thought I could never wear it again. I was super upset since I made sure to take such precautions with the wig, so this gives me motivation to fix it!

I was able to restore my wig from frizz. It was a arda wig and all i needed to do is use a flat iron on lowest setting and a but of water/humidity as you would when ironing clothes. I used a spray bottle for the water

I have an old halloween wig from a few years back that I want to revive. She's tangled and very curly, has a really plastic-y feel, i would believe she is not heat resistant, and I'm not able to do very much with her like put her in fabric softener or run her under a flat iron. If this doesn't work to revive her bit I dunno what to do owo

Like other viewers have commented, you can really get even frizzy fibers in amost as good as new condition by using a straightening iron. There is a limit too this, but it's always worth a try.

Well.... guess what I'll be doing tonight (and probably tomorrow night(etc) I looked at my "Wicked" Elphaba Act II wig (Long - black) and - pretty horrified - I was just going to retire it and start again - I may anyway. But - I should at least give it a try - nothing to lose and still time to replace it before the 31'st. My dress was $1,300 so scrimping on my wig is - pretty doofy. I have a wig very similar to the one here in the video. Mine is way more frizzy though and even seperating locks is difficult. Is there still a way of saving it or at least neatening it a bit? Because Im losing hope with this one after having tried to detangle it for the fourth time now and just struggling a lot. So is it just lost? Can I at least salvage it in the slightest?

I prefer hanging it on the wig stand or something else to hang it and fix it over than laying it down at the table * seems like will cause damage while doing the whole thing is like a mess and waste of time again and again cutting and combing just for this long video 😌 please don't cut the tips ;-; it's not very nice as I've been through it will lessen the lenght that you've wish to have or for your desired lenght/character :v Tbh you can still fix it with a straightener/curler than cutting it along 😆
