If i were to suggest this idea to anyone it would be you guys, the most well researched, well respected channel i know. i feel there should be a video on learning to slide, and i know, ‘its dangerous, dont learn to do it’ but like me, many younger players are too stubborn to listen, and the fact that there are no tutorials online, imo make it more dangerous for younger players to learn correctly and safely, when i learnt, i was cautious, but easily could have sprained and ankle, or injured myself, so a channel like you that is so well researched and respected could teach younger players to slide more safely

I've hit 2 hander my whole life but struggled with coordinating (who's in charge, left arm, right arm?) Recently I started practicing on my own just using one hand (left) and then just 2 or 3 fingers or my right. This video clears up a lot for me and it's pretty cool that your drill lines up with what I was already doing. Thank you guys!!

Thank you. What’s the angle of the racquet at contact? Is the racquet face closed slightly at contact or does it differ based on ball height?

Hi Racketflex! Great video I have a question; what is the best way to achieve a great racket drop on forehand and backhand( Any Cue or analogy) other than keeping the arm loose?
@RacquetFlex5 жыл бұрын
Hi Ricky, great question. It is all in the preparation. Loading the biggest parts of your body i.e hips, legs, trunk. A good way to make sure you are fully loaded on the forehand is to stretch your off arm across until it is parallel is to the baseline. #2 Preparing your hitting arm to the hitting side of your body and your racquet head up so that it can flip down and back as you accelerate forward. Hope this helps!

Im having trouble with getting the ball down the line at the backhand side and the ones that i get down the line generally are slow with no topspin or very close to the center of the court what could be the mistakes that im making in the preparation, swing, stance, follow through and finish that make this happen? And what advices could you give me to improve that?
@ethanolsoup5 жыл бұрын
im not raquetflex lol, but i think what would help is if you keep your torso parallel to the net, and dont follow through all the way over your shoulder, but still keep the same racket path that is explained in this video

The demonstration clips keep switching between a left-handed and a right-handed player, so it’s pretty confusing to follow which arm you meant specifically.
