Just did this a couple of weeks ago at my house but I went through the cabinet (they are cheap and will be replaced next year anyway) and behind the dishwasher. The waste arm was encased in concrete for about a 15-16" at the vent stack end. Broke out the old chipping hammer and it wouldn't hammer. Off to the store. 4 hours of chipping later and I got to the stack. Chipped out around the sani tee so I could work and got it taken care of. Pain in the ass, and back, and both shoulders. All new plastic from the tee to the sink.

That shit is a dog fight,I know your pain well,you may be able to repair your old chipper,from what I understand it's just o-rings that go bad,if you have a tool guy in your area he will probably get it going again fairly cheap, thanks for watching my friend

@@johnphillipsplumbing7148 Yes, there is a tool guy near me. I just need to remember to drop it off when I'm heading past. It's a Bosch so it's worth repairing if it's not completely blown up, which I don't think it is. Hopefully it's something simple (and cheap).
