Wasn’t there a way to remove the visor off of the sliding rod/shaft, while still mounted to the ceiling? I want to lube the shaft a bit to quiet it down upon moving the visor.

There might be a way if you do not have a lighted mirror, but I am not sure. The power wire for the mirror runs all the way through the shaft to the inside of the visor. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

I actually used Duplicolor Vinyl & Fabric spray paint. I used Flat Black, the Gloss Black was just too shiny for me.
