Thank you for this incredibly accurate and well made video, the worst part of any disassembly video imo is the lighting. When the lighting is off and you can't see anything especially the screws, but this video is very well lit.

Leon Jiang if you’re wanting something for a good price action army is solid and everything is compatible with a jg bar 10 but also look into springer custom works and EdGi if you want something a bit more quality, hopefully this helps

I have been looking for a video for yrs on this and have just found this as i.ve been trying to work out why my vsr-10 hasnt been blowing ammo out as they are just rolling out the end of the barrel i think ill give this a shot and see if i can work out whats going on.. unless someone else has the answer to save me from striping it down???? as the bolt part work fine just no air getting pushed out

I know this video is 4 years old at this point but I just took mine apart and when I disassembled the trigger, the piston/trigger sear (the part you push at 3:42) will not spring back up. I must be putting the spring in the wrong way but I've put it in multiple ways and there is just no tension. I'm considering just buying a new trigger assembly that's already put together and just not messing with it.

I am not sure if you are still reading comments, but I picked up one of these from a boneyard for $20. The only thing wrong is that the piston is not being held fully by the shear pin. When I clamp the trigger unit and rail/barrel together with a clamp ( while out of the stock) it seems to hold. Not sure If a new shear or trigger unit is the answer. Also the little spring detention at 1:16 is missing, but do not think that it affects the usage? I think that just stops the bolt from over rotating. Not sure if I need a new piston or trigger assembly. I actually have the Lancer M40a3 which uses the same parts.

So you didn’t really touch on the bolt assembly/handle however great video,my bolt is stuck and won’t come up, I can’t figure out where I went wrong but upon disassembly I must’ve fumbled along the way, I can’t bring the bolt up without getting stuck, I’ll bring the bolt up then it stays there. I reassembled it and now I can’t pull the bolt up and rack it back, any tips?

This is really great for what it shows but you missed the whole cylinder/bolt handle assembly/disassembly. I’m installing the twisted cylinder currently and am struggling understand how the bolt handle sits and fastens back onto the new cylinder. Any advice?

I know this is really late and youve probably figured it out by now but you take out the bolt then just unscrew it, the CO2 will be in there in a small capsule

I have two questions: first what brand, and model of sniper do you use. Second is it worth getting a sniper a using it on the field. Love your vids keep em coming.

I currently use a JG Bar-10. Becoming a sniper depends on your play style. If you're a fast paced player who likes to "run and gun", it's obviously going to be a little harder. If you're slow paced and like to stay back, this role shouldn't be too hard to fill. Now this doesn't mean that if you like to play fast, you can't be a sniper. I myself am quite a fast player. Coming from a CQB background, I've always wanted to be faster than my opponents. This has actually given me an advantage on the field. By trying to stay up in the front lines, I help my team pressure the enemy and accomplish our objectives.

Does anyone here know how to put the spring guide stopper in place because whenever I do it the rifle will not Prime, and if it does prime in order to release the spring I have to pull the trigger, pull the bolt up slightly, and then it fires. it's a weird problem I know but I've already disassembled and reassembled three times. I would love to know how to fix this if anyone knows. thank you

hi! my vsr 10 has a problem, after i charge the bolt when i push forward it releases the piston and the bolt smashes into the receiver. is it the piston or trigger?

It may be one or the other. The only way to check is to see if the 2nd trigger sear (the angled one that catches on the piston) is still mostly square in shape. If it is, then the plastic piston is the broken part. try rotating the piston a little inside the cylinder. If it begins to fire normally for a few shots, then the piston was broken. I'd replace the piston and spring guides with aluminum and steel ones as well as get a reinforced trigger sear. Make sure you lube the whole inside up with silicone oil, because difficulty pushing the bolt back forward is what causes wear and tear in the first place. Don't upgrade the gun with a super powerful spring if you do this, though. Or just get a 90 degree trigger set if you can find one in stock. You can upgrade a good 90 degree trigger with any spring that fits.

My TM vsr-10 not working and will only fire like 5 feet i have do nothing except tie apart the hop up chamber and put it back together. also when i pull the bolt back it and forward it dosent fit snug into the hop up unit or in the the inner barrel. it is 2 days old and has no new parts HELPPPP!!!!!

How in earth did you remove the stock cylinder head?? I've been at it for hours now and I can't get it open in anyway. Is that a original TM VSR-10 cylinder?

I put an allen key in the hole on it, and twisted it open. Sorry for the late response.

No worries. Turns out the stock cylinder from TM (VSR) is locked with a metal pin. Because of Japanese restrictions on FPS. Any attempts to open it with force will destroy the cylinder head.

X81 Airsoft as I can see you are still using a 45 degree trigger system. I also still use one, but I heard that over time the piston and triggersears get damaged if you don't change to a 90 degree system. Is this true? Novritsch used his VSR 10 for 8 years and claims to have shot 40k bbs with a 45 degree system. What ist true? Should I change the trigger?

The m24 is similar to the vsr10 but not an exact clone. You'd probably need to buy m24 specific parts. You can find those easily on Evike.com. Thanks!
