used this video to help me replace my battery, thankyou! however there's one thing i would do differently. the black plastic cover at 8:38 for the display and power flex cable, instead of yanking/prying it off, i would use the tweezers to unhook the tab to the metal clip holders. you can grab the top or bottom bit of the plastic cover with tweezers to gently unhook the plastic cover off. i yanked mine off like in this video and i ended up breaking one of the metal clip holders from excessive force.

A couple things to watch for while changing the battery: 1. The thin hard plastic (from blister pack) should not go farther than ⅜" inside. If you cut the corners the screen can be separated from the digitizer. Heat and pressure likely won't get it all back. 2. I only had to disconnect the narrow ribbon cable across the battery to ease it out after peeling off the tapes. There's sticky stuff holding the battery to the back of the case that will release with gentle prying. 3. The narrow ribbon cable wouldn't completely connect with the new battery in place because of the curve that bedded in over the years. It has to connected with the battery out. Then the new battery has to be delicately slid in under it while dealing with the sticky case back. 4. The screen ribbon cable has a narrow end that really looks like it should be plugged in somewhere. It just lays over the narrow white tape. I still need to clean up the old glue before putting in double sided adhesive. The tablet is now good for several hours between charges. I've done a number of hardware replacements on Nexus 7 2013 and 5. The glue on the Sony adds considerable difficulty. That said, screen replacement doesn't require pulling out a whole bunch of components like the aforementioned Nexus devices.

Hello, i would like to ask you, if its possible to open tablet also from back. I have to change loosen charging port and i dont wanna do this trough the diplay. Also it will be rly helpfull if you can send me link for a charging port part (aliexpress will be great). Thank you in advance. I´m not sure which one is the right one. Hi, man! The charging connector is soldered to the motherboard and in any case, disassembly is needed. In addition, you will need a soldering station and certain skills to work with it. В городе ни один из сервисов не взялся менять батарею. Сказали, что вероятность испортить матрицу (очень хрупкая) не менее 50% - никто не дает гарантии. что не сломается во время ремонта.

Hello, If you do everything carefully, in proper order, do not overheat the battery, and do not damage its shell, there should be no problems replacing it.

Hi, it is better to do that, use a sealant (we use B5000 or B7000).

Hi, first, you should separate the display, and you can try. Why try? Sometimes the battery is glued hard and you need to remove the PCB. Getting more space giving you more opportunities and you can make the separation without PCB damage.

I notice the transparent plastic thing used to pry the screen is especially soft. Is that strong enough to remove the glue?

That's quite easy, sand down a corner and one edge of an old credit/loyalty card, remove the terminals and black tape that's attached to the battery. Then carefully slide the credit card under the battery, slowly wiggling it to and fro, lifting gently, the battery will gradually pull away from the adhesive strips. Go slowly, no heat needed, just careful movements keeping the card flat to the underside of the battery. It will slowly peel away when you have gone through all the adhesive. I replaced one only this morning, that took only 15 minutes. DO NOT PUNCTURE THE BATTERY AND USE NO FORCE!

@@taoh3473 Depends if you want to maintain the water/dust tight seal, you can buy the glue strips for your device on eBay quite cheaply. The strips are supplied on a backing sheet, you align the backing sheet with the screen and apply it.

При падении экран отлетел от корпуса. При подключении обратно, сначала экран показывал, но не реагировал на касания, потом экран вовсе перестал показывать. Сам планшет работает, определяется компьютером при подсоединении проводом и тд. звук есть, а экран черный при этом. Стоит ли менять весь дисплейный модуль?

Здравствуйте, проще во много раз, будет заменить дисплейный модуль. Для замены сенсора нужен большой опыт набор инструментов и желательно - специальное оборудование.
