if this does not work, some models have 2 metal rods underneath in the back of the mower(near the back wheels) that can be pulled and notched in a notched plate, one on each side,

I do not have this same model JD but I do have a dead battery and a hurricane coming. I need to move it to the back of the garage to make room. Thank U SO much. I'm off to look for any levers I can find.
