How to Display Microsoft Access Database Labels, Buttons, and Other Controls in Multiple Languages

In this Microsoft Access tutorial, I will show you how to change your form labels and button captions to a different language. We'll switch between English and French, but you can use any language you want.
Elaine from Montreal, Quebec (a Gold Member) asks: I have workers in my office who don't all speak English. Some speak French. Is there any way to have my form labels and buttons switch from one to the other?
Members will learn how to create a completely table-based solution so even end-users can modify the translation data without needing to make changes to the VBA code. We will loop through all of the controls on a form, find the ones that need to be translated, and look up the translation from the table. Fun stuff!

Google has an API for Google Translate that you can incorporate into VBA. If I were tasked with this, I would definitely look into some kind of auto-translation system, one that would automatically look up a word that doesn't have a translation yet. Even if you had a multilingual person, it would require much manpower if there were hundreds of words and phrases to be translated for a number of languages (also if you had tons of forms and/or had to keep modifying them).

Hi, I am following this lesson, I have made a combo box, added the two languages, but for some reson when I save and open the form the Combo box shows both languages but will not allow me to select French, any ideas what I am doing wrong please?

hello sir ,am using attendance management system for fingerprint check in/out , software installed in french everything works fine but in report designer i can't change datafield "week" days from english to French ..it's showing sat,sun,mon ...ect can you help me sir ?

Thanks for the video. What about in Bi-lingual languages such as Arabic and Hebrew, How do you flip the whole form to display from Right to Left instead of Left to Right?

That question is beyond my pay grade. :)

Access has a right-to-left setting in File, Options, Client Settings, Default Direction -> right to left. But it only affects new tables and forms, not existing ones unfortunately.
