How to distribute your public IP subnets internally on your network. This means giving the public IP directly to the client device or endpoint..

Love your vids, informational and hilarious! I look after a few Mikrotik WISPs here in Cape Town. Where did you learn so much about networking?

There is no need to create a pool for "Local Address" - simply type in any IP the router has into the local address box instead of creating and choosing the pool. There is no benefit I can think of to giving each customer their own individual local address instead of having them all use the same one. I'm not exactly sure why MikroTik created a drop down for "Local Address" that lets you choose a pool as there is no real use case for that option, and it misleads people into thinking they need a pool.

Your not wrong. Though I try and make these simple enough than anyone can follow them. Get people up and running then teach them fine tuning. & though it does create an additional IP its not wrong. Just a different inefficient method. Most people are doing dhcp authentication now also. The other point is that this video is showing people how to conserve IP space & distribute IP's as /32's throughout their networks. So PPPOE will not be used for more than a few users on these small networks ;)

@@thefixitgal I think you jumped around quite a bit. A script would be the answer.

@@TheWebstaff Sure but I think it would make more sense to those It was intended for. Small telecom operators.
