Got the similar situation. I'm currently 18 and trying to study basic math tricks because my little 1st grade stupid ass was thinking like "Why do I need to learn math if I willn't use it in anyway?". Well, as both numbers end in zero, you could have taken the zeros out and have made this division a lot easier. Since 3,750 divided by 150 is the same as 375 divided by 15.

I Think I am the weakest person in the world in the case of maths multiplication tables and division needs the multiplication table but this way was really interesting and really easy really helped me and 5 of the questions in my exam were in multiplication... solved and I got full marks in that questions just because of you .thank you mam really much.

I am a marine engineer. Graduated who conquered any math problem solving. Knows how to derive the formula in solving. Knows about SOH-CAH-TOA, CAO-SHA-COH. Got 95 Average in Calculous. But I can't do a simple divide just like this. 😂😂😂

The way i do it is i just look at the 100 in 150 and go 1 2 3 that's 300 now What happens when i add in three 50s? ohh... noop... too high lol it went over the 375 so i know i can't multiply 150 by 3 so i know to lower it down by 1 to 150x2=300 and that's the closest we can get to 375 with only 75 leftover from it :) can't get no more 150s in there. Doing this saves time on writing it out to experiment it makes the Guesswork easier, basically i just use the first number and take out the zeros in my mind, go through the Times Table of that number then add back the zeros, i may have to just go 20 40 60 80 etc... on some sums if it works better to do that but the zero trick works really great and makes it SO much easier to do with most of them, sometimes i may still have to do a bit more experimenting and write more i've found a number starting with 3 the trickiest but the majority of the time i don't have to experiment so much, we learned to do the Zero Trick with Multiplication Carrying Sums so... Why not use it in Division? since we're still using Multiplication :P.

What if it's the other way around? Dividing the smaller number by a much larger number. Ie. For a percentage problem. A 25% discounted item is $112.50. What's the original price? I need to do this w/o a calculator.
