Thank you! I'm gonna make one of these for a light bulb in my crawl space.

Thank you!! There is no heat guard big enough to work for me. I swear they only make heat guards for small 25W bulbs or something 😅

This was incredibly helpful-the Arcadia cages are out of stock almost everywhere and I was looking for a good (and cheaper) alternative. Thank you!

I was looking up how to make a wire-mesh-cage to protect my lily and tulip bulbs from rats. Thou the use is different, the guide still fits perfect. Thank you :D

I never thought about that! I’m glad it was helpful!

Thank you for this guide, as there does not seem to be commercially available bulb guards for larger mercury vapor and halogen bulbs. 💡

Yay! Hopefully this has helped :)

Does the light heat the metal and make the cage hot?
@RedsFaunaverse2 жыл бұрын
It does a little but it wouldn’t hurt the animal as much as the bulb would

Will you do a “all my pets” video?
@RedsFaunaverse3 жыл бұрын
I 100% plan to and want to! I’ve been working on some of my pets enclosures over the past few months and I’m waiting till they’re all perfect for me to film~ I also wanna do a reptile room tour too 😈 so hopefully in the spring or summer maybe? Fingers crossed 🤞 ❤️

where did you get your vivariums from?>?
@RedsFaunaverse Жыл бұрын
All over the place, a lot are second hand ones I’ve found at reptile stores, Kijiji, friends, expos, and so on. I rarely buy new tanks and if I do I just buy them through where I work at All Reptiles.

This is completely off topic but I'm pale like you and a lipstick fiend, and that colour is gorgeous. Happen to remember the product?

What kind I’d wire u use

On the Home Depot website it’s labeled as “Fencer Wire”

Isn't it going to be a pain if the bulb goes...commercial made open at the bottom...wouldn't you have to unscrew the whole thing to change the bulb...
@RedsFaunaverse Жыл бұрын
You most definitely would have to unscrew it, it’s not that difficult to do tho and remember this is a cheap alternative to those who don’t wanna buy a fancy bulb guard. So you get what you pay for basically. Cheap alternative equals slight inconvenience.
