Can you use glitter colors? I really love my nails to be flashy. I was thinking a really dark blue with a holographic silver

You definitely can! If the holo is a bit sheer when sponged on, you can apply a full coat of for example white underneath before you start the gradient. The opaque base colour will help out with that 😊
