This is a great video! I might attempt it one day soon... I've always loved this look since I saw the old video of the guy who did this to his Nissan Skyline. Thanks for the knowledge!

Yea, skeptik innovations did the first skylines, same guys that did the heads and tails on the DeLorean that went viral at SEMA last year. We met up at SEMA this year and he's happily started using these ucs2903 strips in his infinity builds now.

@NextLevelNeo That's really neat! I've talked to you about the 1903s and 2903s awhile back but still haven't gotten around to buying any yet... but thanks for putting it back near the top of my mind... The way you rave about those ICs I would be stupid not to try them in one of my projects. My favorite choice for 12V LEDs is GS8208... Have you tested those vs the UCS2903? I haven't but I will try soon.. However the GS8208 also has a similar Constant Current design, but the GS8208 has 12-Bit Gamma Correction, a backup data line, and a much higher PWM. I know that in testing the GS8208 vs the WS2815, the GS8208 very noticeably outperformed it when it came to dimming and gradient effects. I think the main advantage to the UCS2903 is that it can receive any voltage from 5-24 volts, whereas most pixel ICs like the GS8208 or WS2815 can only accept a fixed voltage like 12V in those cases... Is that right?

@imdbtruth we actually use the gs8208 in our airlift panels. They are bright and extremely reliable. You don't really even need the redundant data. The drawback is the color order being an oddball. That being said our ucs2903 is twice as bright.

@@NextLevelNeo Is that right? Cool! I'm definitely buying some to test. I really appreciate the replies!

I want to make a set for my kit car restoration so the there is no light housing as it is old and would have just had multiple individual lights bolted on. How could you make them into individual units?

Do you do custom orders? I just need 4 5" round ones for a C3 Corvette to be able to be used as running lights and brake lights. Ive had this idea for awhile now but not sure how to do the wiring part.

do you sell the mirrors? and do you custom laser cut if the dimensions are communicated with you?

I can but you should check with illumaesthetic first. Their prices are very affordable. If they can't help you i can try to help.
