before a motor swap you should do a scatpack or hellcat LSD swap. Get both of them tires spinning simultaneously, makes any dodge more performative and capable.

Man, I just so happened to come across this video and sat thru and watched the whole thing til the end, when I heard you making it the black panther build. Snapped! I just bought myself a 2013 durango crew with the 5.7 in it and I plan on rebuilding it up as well as a project. Engine mods, body mods, suspension, etc. Now all my cars are usually my "girls" and this one is no exception, she is Shuri, the female black panther build! I'm not one to get on here and be a troll but I'm telling you this that that's not true about the insurance what you need to do is you need to go to an insurance company and you need to give him a receipts for everything you did and when you give them receipts and you take pictures you can up your insurance and you can get whatever you want insurance on your vehicle if it's custom then you take it you get a custom insurance for a custom car and you could have any and every part that you put on that vehicle insured..

Thank you for the information. I can't decide whether to supercharge my 3.6L or do a full swap. I have found a few pages that sell full Hemi swaps that include the cluster ,transmission etc. @ 9k. Ive already upgraded my suspension. Will take a a year or 2 to have enough for the full swap which will total up @ >20k. That's why Im thinking going RIPP on the 3.6L.

Yea i always wanted to do an engine swap. I got about 18,000 dollars worth of work done on my v6 challenger. Ive always been told its just easier to trade in your v6 challenger for the v8. But cause of the 18 grand i put in my v6 challenger im already not getting my money back. I got the hellcat kit and kid you not it has fooled people. They're always like danm nice hellcat what year. And i always stop them and say its an hell kitten 😆 so i always contemplate about getting a v8. My v6 is a 2011 dodge challenger se and only has 63,000 miles on it. And that's why its hard for me to make a decision. Definitely putting a v8 in it would be a cherry on top. I got it lowered hellcat wheels hell cat hood and front bumper with duck flare fin spoiler its the toxic orange color and the hood is black and the spoiler. Would love to have the v8.

So everything will still work inside the car even tho I swapped the ecu cause I found a full crate kit with trans, engine harness everything for a full swap cause I got a magnum I want to 6.4 swap it but idk if I have to swap the dash, door panels etc to get it all to work with the new ecu and harness

One more thing what I would do is I would find a donor car that you're going to get the motor from and I would take the dash out of it I mean the gauge cluster I would take the fuel pump I would take the control arms the braking system I would take the frame ties the I'm sorry not the same thing the unit body mounts the motor mounts everything and anything out of the vehicle that you're pulling that's I mean it's probably going to be a vehicle so it's like the front right smashed then you get everything else all the control arms and then you go buy the right front driver side control arms and everything from that side that was hit but I would absolutely get everything that you could as far as suspension goes and all the mounts and and literally anything coolant or reservoirs everything off the off the doner car

Everything is going to be different wiring harness computer engine transmission rear end axles breaks suspension steering infotainment system it’s not worth doing unless you’re in possession of a wrecked complete scat pack or whatever it is that you’re looking to upgrade to and it’s not financially a sound idea

I’ve been trying to research for similar project: swapping the 3.6 outta my 2017 ram 1500 with a 6.4L. Only thing is I can’t find really any posts going into detail about it. Every time I ask in a forum they just tell me “sell it and buy one with a hemi” like yea I’ll get the 5.7 but to get the 6.4 I have to tack on another 2,000ish pounds and get a 2500 series…

This is completely false about not being insured for what the value is or getting what the vin says however you want to word it. I had a 2018 R/T it already had rebuilt title from theft recovery no damage. I modded the car heavily even added a whipple SC I was cashed out 47k from insurance when I got into an accident. Doing your due diligence in finding an insurance company they will insure your car and also keeping record and receipts of what you did to it helps your case.

You have to declare mods and customized parts beforehand. If you pay V6 rates and expect a hellcat payout by just showing receipts…your insurance company is definitely the rare exception.
