how early can you do this bun if your braids are about 2 wks is that soon?

To avoid breakage, I'd wait until they loosen up. This is different for everyone. I'm always able to pull my hair up same day, but the lady that braids my hair doesn't braid too tight, so it all depends on you, but I'd say two weeks is definitely plenty of time.
