I will have a new video out soon to correct this method, I am going to use a billet aluminum adapter. This method with the plastic is not the way go.

One only thing I would recommend is to not use the plastic adapter but use an aluminum adapter instead. kzbin.info/www/bejne/f3SQY4uZmLtpmLcsi=5ESlBHb7Wb7U0B6F

Did you use the heater control from a integra or from a car you took the k24 from?

What’s man are you running a stock k24 coolant housing and thermostat ??
@jsrebuilds39513 жыл бұрын
Yes I am. I'm running an OEM one that I made a custom bracket to hold it on. The aftermarket thermostat swivel neck didn't work correctly. My car would run way cooler than it should. It would allow my engine run at normal temperature. I will try to make a video on what I did and why I did it like that.

@@jsrebuilds3951 so I have a k24a jdm and i want to utilize the heater. I also have a ktuned upper water neck housing. What heater pipe should I go with in a civic eg
@jsrebuilds39512 жыл бұрын
@@davnes83 I've never used the ktuned upper water neck housing so I wouldn't know what to tell you. The only thing I can tell you is if the eg heater core piping is the same as the dc and it's a budget heater piping, I would do the same in this video. But I don't know what the k24a heater pipings look like but read most people transfer most their pipings from their k24a2 over to the k24a motor to keep it simple for installs.

Is that rear t bracket meant for specifically for k24?
@jsrebuilds39513 жыл бұрын
Its meant for K24 transmissions.

I would HIGHLY advise anybody doing this to NOT do this or replace the plastic adapter as soon as possible!!! Mine cracked and snapped in half after 3 years! Replace it with a brass adapter instead. It will leak coolant all over your engine and worse is overheat.
@jsrebuilds39513 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the advice. I didn't realize that this would happen with plastic adapter. I thought it would be a good budget way to do the heater hoses but I will be replacing mines soon.
@rioa90023 жыл бұрын
@@jsrebuilds3951 plastic adaptors are only good for catch cans and breather hoses. But the moment you put chemicals like coolants or fuel and the plastic is not rated for these chemicals they will deteriorate and get eaten up specially with heat. Brass or aluminum barb fittings are the way to go. Brass is better because it has a lower chance of metal erosion.
@jsrebuilds39513 жыл бұрын
@@rioa9002 Do you have a recommendation for an adaptor or maybe a part number? I will make another video to correct and address this issue. What you said makes a lot of sense. I was thinking the same thing about the plastic adapter but just wasn't too sure myself. Thank you again for your feedback and helping out with the swap community.

@@jsrebuilds3951 any barb fitting with the same size you used on Amazon will work. As long as it’s brass

Would you recommend for a daily driver?
@jsrebuilds39513 жыл бұрын
Yes I would say it would be ok. 1) But depending how low your car is especially if you have the same setup as me and the condition of the roads here are bad. I would be extra careful because taking out your oil pan could happen easily. 2) Also another thing I notice with these kinds motor mounts the vibration is very noticeable and annoying. It will not be like OEM motor mounts.
