Sometimes a beekeeper is needed to remove a live honey bee colony from a building or tree cavity. This process is called a "cut-out." Watch one of the more simple cut-outs, done here with the help of our Colorado Bee Vac. We locate the colony, open the wall, vacuum up adult bees, cut comb from the cavity, and show how the comb is installed in frames and Langstroth hive equipment. Part Two will deal with the after-care of the newly-hived colony from the wall.
