Thank you for the video. I would assume the EK chassis to be very similar?
@jsrebuilds39513 жыл бұрын
Yes it would be similar. A lot of people move the power steering reservoir to passenger near the power steering pump, it would less travel for the pump. In the future, I plan on maybe relocating the reservoir near the pump. I just have to make room for it if possible.

Awesome video...for EK kswap, will this setup work with an EG subframe?
@jsrebuilds39513 жыл бұрын
Yes it should but I believe it would be better if the reservoir is closer to your power steering pump. Mine is working but it seems to not work as well because I believe the travel of the fluid is affecting it. I may move my ps reservoir near the ps pump in the near future.

Is ps cooler a mandatory thing or optional? Would it be okay to run it without the cooler?
@jsrebuilds39514 жыл бұрын
I'm not an expert on this but the Integra has a factory hard line in front of the car to cool down the power steering I believe. You may be able to use the OEM hard line but this aftermarket cooler was 25 to 30 dollars so I think you should have some kind of cooler. Also with the power steering line having a cooler its going to help with the fluid not breaking down faster from the heat. Also the power steering line close to the headers, it looks like it would get more heat from it.

@@jsrebuilds3951 I am about to kswap my eg, keeping AC and PS that’s the reason why I am asking if it’s mandatory. I don’t believe eg has the cooler hard line like tegs but I will double check. Thx bud

How did you wire the PS switch? On b series the plug comes with the harness but for k swap I don't see the harness having the plug
@jsrebuilds39512 жыл бұрын
That plug for ps is already on the chassis of the integra not the engine harnesses.

Are you running power steering and no ac? If so, What part number of the Serpentine belt are you running?

I’m installing the ps on my ek what rack will I need to go with my eg subframe? Year, make, model?
@jsrebuilds39513 жыл бұрын
Don't quote me on this but I believe yes you will need eg subframe 92 - 95 ex, si, lx, etc. best bet is if the rack comes with power steering.

I've did a search on the Honda OEM parts website, it says the Base and Type S is the exact same part number. 53713-S6M-A04
@jsrebuilds3951 Жыл бұрын
I don't know why you were having that issue. I really didn't think Honda would have a different power steering line for the Base and Type S because it wouldn't make sense for them when the both chassis is basically identical and for production wise.
