Sergio's a beast! Watching him a few vids back I realized I was being too rough with the clipper. Hearing him say to be light with it and watching him do it has helped tremendously! My cuts have gotten way better! Appreciate y'all

Hello faded culture I got a question. I am trying to give my self a haircut. I got clippers and guards but the clippers I have don’t have leverages. So do I need to get new clippers or I don’t need leverages.

Wats up family Wat I didn’t like is the fact that you change up the steps since you hardly cut African American hair I was hoping that you would have use the original steps on this texture hair but I just go through it in my mind and just get the results I was looking for thanks for the video ( Neil )

Please do a fade where the lowest number it’s either a 1 guard close, or a 1/2 guard close! Thank you #fadedculture
@FADEDCULTUREАй бұрын
What do you mean like on the sides? A 1?
@alexanderhernandez6248Ай бұрын
@ correct! Or even a 1/2 guard.
@antuanroa4368Ай бұрын
Hello faded culture. I've been using your guys method to fade and it works amazing but I have a doubt. Whenever I cut someone's hair the fade looks good and consistent but once you step away it js looks dark like there isn't a fade. Any recommendations? I'm thinking maybe it's the way I position my lever or how thick or thin I make my guidelines.
@jaredsantos7854Ай бұрын
Thicker guidelines make your fade much more blurry, thinner guidelines would make your fades appear compressed.
@JJDTCАй бұрын
Begin lower with your trimmer and make a big first guideline with your clipper lever open. Then fade it out with closed / half etc and take your time. The first guideline is your foundation for the fade and if you make that one big, it automatic makes the fade much more blurry. Also guard 2 and above are 'dark' guards. Below the two is what you really working with if you want a lighter fade.
@ELVAGO1998Ай бұрын
It’s not about how thick or thin your lines are. Use better lighting, that will expose all of your imperfections in real time. Also, the highest number you should ever fade into is a #3 guard, that will give you the blurriest look
@FADEDCULTUREАй бұрын
I mean it can be a number of things bro I would have to see your cut to criticize it and help you. We do that in our online mentoring if you interested. If not best thing I can say is keep practicing your touch up work www.skool.com/the-family-7944
@JJDTCАй бұрын
@@ELVAGO1998 nah man jared got it definitely right!! If you use small guidelines say like 1/4 inch instead of a bigger 1/2 guideline, you automaticly compress your fade, because with the 1/2 guideline, you got a bigger canvas to work with. Lets say say you make three guidelines: no guard, 1 guard, 2 guard. If you make them all all 1/4 inch, you got 3/4 inch to work with. While if you make that 3 guidelines 1/2 inch, you got 1.5 inch to work with and you can make it way way blurrier. Bright lights and 3 guards got nothing to do with that.

Hi FC ! How we are supposed to remove the bulk which is behind and falls on the ear before doing a taper on fairly long hair ? I don't want to finish the cut into a buzz cut so I don't touched the bulk until now. Thank you !
