@@MissMcD Can't think of any national celebs but our local 'celebs' definitely rocked this. But in Detroit, late 80s, YASSS this was MY style. I was FRESH! 😂 We could only get hair up to 12" (there was no 14, 16, 18, 20+ lengths back then). The technique was different then also. I wish I could load my old pictures to show you. 😂😂

I am ashamed to report a massive fail when I attempted a similar look a client of mine showed me a picture of. Me, like a dummy, didn't really study the look and gave her a plain ponytail which obviously DID NOT give her this look. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge. Your technique is actually old skool weave and I love it 🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌 you ne doing the glue technique to PERFECTION. The connected cornrows for the weaves. 🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌 the shit don't look crazy as hell.
