I started learning and experimenting with how to care for my wavy/curly hair about a year ago. At the beginning, I experienced EXACTLY what you did! I had been following tutorials from kinky/coily curly girls and followed their methods, and at first my hair LOVED the hydration and I began seeing healthy waves/curls instead of a head full of frizz and poof. After several months, however, I lost the wave/curls and had limp, barely wavy hair. I searched KZbin for tutorials from wavy curly girls and started following their methods, and my hair began getting frizzy again. Sooo, I encorporated a variety of methods from both the kinky/coily and wavy methods and am finally getting healthy waves/curls every day! It takes time, patience, research and experimenting to get to know what your hair likes and doesn't like to be it's best...don't give up!

You made me soooooooooooooooo HAPPY talking about using CUPS ! Yes !!!! As an American that's what we all grew up with, They tried to pound the metric system into our heads back in the 1970s and it just didn't work for us. And yes, vinegar is a great degreaser for hair. It's a healthy and natural way to get hair back to normal. Always love a Katy video ! tfs 💗💗💗💗💗💗💗

They are WAY easier although for some things I do use scales as that is how my mum did it as I was growing up. I've taught my kids both so they can alternate between various recipes. x

I use a spray bottle with apple cider vinegar

I've used apple cider vinegar rinse for a whole now because I suffer from a mild case of scalp psoriasis and acv helps with the itching and flakes. I just pour a bit in a cup, wash my hair, then fill up the cup with acv and drizzle it on my hair. I let it stay in my hair for a minute or two then rinse out. My hair feels softer afterwards. And if my psoriasis is acting up, I put a little bit of acv + water in a cotton ball to relieve the itching.

I have scalp psoriasis too!! Only realised that about 6 months ago but yes this has helped LOADS!

@@WhatKatySaidUK I've suffered from this for a long time, and no doctor knew what it was, until I did my own research and I was like I finally have an answer! But yes ACV is an amazing alternative to help with scalp psoriasis flare ups. Yay for us hehe

Hi Katy! I watched your initial CGM video at the end of last November and it's how I managed to actually get started with the CGM! I will forever be grateful as I found every other video on the CGM to be SO confusing and I was daunted. You made it easy, so thank you! :-)

I have been doing ACV rinse on my hair for many years.I only use shampoo bars on my hair as a lot of build up comes from products like shampoo etc. First few times was brutal as I have super long hair. Tons of knots etc. and very difficult to brush . Now my hair is like silk and is always super easy to comb out. I use 1/4 cup ACV in a quart (4 cups) of water Since doing this, I only have to wash my hair once a week now instead of just about every day

Yes I only have to wash my hair once a week now and as a mum of 3 that is SUCH a blessing!! x

Really? Why? Since filming the video I’ve discovered Pantene clarifying shampoo and that’s great!

I use white vinegar to rinse my hair, I've used in since I was a child (I'm 70 now). I'd don't measure I just pour a bit (1/4 cup in a plastic container of water) and WALA no knots, rinses all the shampoo, styling gel, and hairspray residue from my hair. I rinse with plain water after the vinegar, did you?
@WhatKatySaidUK4 жыл бұрын
I didn't but only because I am dumb and forgot in the video haha. Ordinarily I would wash with conditioner and then rinse as normal x

Some kind of soap where it be shampoo, bar shampoo will remove the grease from our hair but when the build up is heavy it will be like a build up of grease on your cook top. Vinegar is a great solution. Baking soda is as well. Just don't use them together or your hair will blow up like a volcano. haha. Just mix a bit of baking soda with warm water and rinse your hair and it will strip all the product from your hair. Cream rinses are good to clean hair but they always leave a bit behind hence the reason we use conditioner and do nothing to remove build up. I love your curly hair said someone who has lived their whole life with board straight thick hair that will hang limp limp limp. Even perms won't curl my hair. UGH! So I wear it uber short and spiked.
