Clearly, the best video out there showing how to decrease. Thank you.

I'm sure there is, but I generally just start at the widest point of my pattern and decrease from there. It's the simplest way. You can always go back and stitch onto the other side, and zip pieces together, so it saves having to increase, which can be tricky.

Right, thanks! I just needed to see the big difference between odd-count and even-count in the Peyote technique :) It's not really possible to start a new row before going back trough a few beads when doing the odd-count beading. Thanks again for the tutorial!

To see how to make the necklace that's featured in this video click on the link for the Crest of the House Necklace - Project N2010 - that's located in the video description underneath this video. You'll see written instructions on how to add the chain.

OK thank you for the tutorial on decreases. Is there a tutorial on adding the chain as in the sample piece. It looks easy but it's always good to be sure. Nice direct instructions.

Your needle will not be in the proper position to start the new row when you finish the old one. So you need to weave through the beads to put your needle in the proper position, just like you do in odd count flat peyote. If you aren't familiar with how to do this, we have a video on How to Do Flat Odd Count Peyote that I recommend.

Oh I just love the technique! The badge/jewelry is just stunning! I would love to make one like that for the Alliance or Horde Badge from World of Warcraft for my nerdy friends lol. I got a little silly question though: Why do you have to go "back" trough the needles before starting a new row? I havent tried that technique, I usually just start on a new row by finishing the row and take my thread through the most left/right bead and start a new row. Thank you for the video btw! :D

Hi! I am so surprised that we don't seem to have that video. We will add it to our list of videos to make. Thank you for bringing it to our attention.

how do you peyote the opposite way.? starting from the tip corner bead increasing up to your bracelet.???
@beadaholique10 жыл бұрын
It is possible to do increases, but as I state in the video, it is much more difficult to increase than it is to decrease, and often results in a messier look. Instead of working increases, I always start at the widest point and work decreases. If that is the middle of the piece, I start at the middle. It is very simple to then go back to the middle, add a new thread, and work back out to the other side.

Are there odd count peyote graphs paper
@beadaholique3 жыл бұрын
Standard peyote graph paper can be used for either even or odd count patterns, there's no special odd count paper. We've got a free PDF of peyote graph paper here: cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0153/9276/8100/files/Beadaholique-Peyote-Grid.pdf

I think my cat understands odd count peyote better than I do.
