I'd suggest that you just clean regularly. Because the metal polish actually takes away the oxide layer that naturally forms on the aluminium surface of the engine and clutch cover. Aluminium forms a thin layer of oxide which is a very protective coating, that prevents excessive corrosion and metal rot
