Nah it always depends on your hair type and curling wand. Always feel the hair and if it's hot to the touch (which means all the heat has worked throughout your hair)

I use a similar technique for my long, straight fine hair, except I take way smaller sections, curl them in the same manner and clip them to my scalp, otherwise a curl won't set. Once brushed out, they last a very long time in a uniform wave, so easy.

I am a HMUA and there is a technique for this. It is not your basic curl. I see everywhere other stylist will tell a client they know how to do waves and it does not turn out like this. Biggest pet peeve. Especially for someone's wedding day. I am always saying if you do not know how to do something, someone's wedding day is not a practice run.

I heard it’s easier to do on thin hair, actually! Teasing may give the volume you need. Try it out, you could definitely pull it off. 🤍🤍🤍

angelofmercy21 the most important thing to remember is to get the definition of the curls and then your hair spray! Get a spray that will hold all day without the stiffness

Yup definitely! Keep the curl intact, hairspray it, and then clip it at the base of hair until it completely cools down and then hair spray lightly again

Super pretty! Was Wondering what hairspray was used? Flexible type or super hold? I have super thick, corse frizzy hair, so I tend to use oils but then my curls never stay unless I use like Aussie Freeze It lol.. but then it's crunchy and yuck. wish I could do this to my hair!
