Could either be one of the amps behind him (I know he was enjoying the JVM a lot at the time this vid was recorded) but it could also be one ofhis studio profiles on his Kemper from the Album recording which were sampled using multiple high gain amps blended together (Including a JCM800, 6505+, Bogner Uberschall, Engl etc).

I can't tell you how many of these videos I've watched man, but what I can tell you is that yours is the first one that actually made sense and stuck. It was the 'flicking' of the wrist. Also every other video always says that you have to find the node on the guitar or whatever in order to pinch harmonic and you can't do it anywhere on the neck, but you just showed you can do it anywhere on the neck AND made it look so effing easy. Also, thanks for showing what not to do as well as what to do. Even after trying all day yesterday and not getting it, I'm going to try again tomorrow.

So, ive been playing instruments for like two years, guitar and bass, all self taught ( with help from youtube and internet of course!) and lately metal has been my new general. In going from blues to metal technique wise was quite difficult, especially pinch harmonics. Been practicing for like, a month and couldnt get it, was starting to get a bit frustrated, but HOLY SHIT, when you mentioned the way you tilt your picking hand to do them, I got them instantly...amazing. By far best tip I've heard from anyone about doing pinch harmonics. Thank you so much, my Pantera will actually sound like pantera now lol.

Hey Jake I started playing day now ying guitar at 4 years old i'm 67 now. but noticed that i was getting pinch harmonics totally by accident way before i knew what it was. or even heard of a pinch harmonic. and could never get it again then i saw you teaching it. i now know exactly how to do it but the nerves in my hands won't allow me to do it because i have irepairable nueropothy in my hands, total nerve damage. dropping my pick most of the time it really sucks! I love the sound of pinch harmonics. So i keep practicing every single day my thumb meat just won't let me hit the strings Maybe God one day will heal me and can master it some day and be as good as you, Zack Wild, dime bag and everybody else! pray for me. thanks. Rock On you thousands of guitarist.
