How to do resistance checks on Panasonic air conditioning expansion valve coils

Rob Towell - Technical Manager at Panasonic shares how to do check the resistance on Panasonic air conditioning expansion valve coils.
The expansion valve coils need to be checked if a unit goes in to pump down in cooling mode or is sending no hot gas to the indoor unit in heating mode.
Before carrying out any live testing please ensure you conform with Electricity at Work Regulations 1989. Regulation 4(3)

Great video, so the question is where do I find it to rip it out! :) Got a tip since I get less heating this might be the problem since it maybe cannot retain high voltage over time with a broken coil. Heats a bit and then drops down and cannot deliver much heat anymore. Helps somewhat to put it in cool then back to heat. No error codes.

Hi, thanks for a informative video! I have a multisplit system (Panasonic) and when I use one indoor unit for heating and the other indoor unit is off gas is still circulated to the unit that is off. I can feel warm temperature on the top of it and when the system de-ices I hear it bubbling also in the indoor unit that is off. Should´n the expansion valve prevent heated gas to circulate to the indoor unit set to off? This all get frustrating when the active indoor unit is not producing enough heat. Another problem is that when booth indoor units are on but with different temperature settings, say 22 and 17 degrees (one is bedroom) then the bedroom heating does not stay on the 17 degrees but increases up to 22 and sometomes above. (bedroom is a smaller room than the livingroom).

Can we check EEv without removing it from the unit, while power is disconnected of course???
