What's in that room spikes chest?

When I die at 10:02, it keeps sending me back to in front of the locked chest room (where the fish goes), not the beginning. Any idea how to get back? :/

If you're playing with friends, they can join in and use the switch to lower the spikes. I know the feeling-I was scared I'd get stuck too. You can always load an older save and try again another day.
