But how do you do split screen without cropping and focusing on the center of each video? So that the entire frame is displayed for each video and there is black space above and below.

Hello, I’m getting into editing with iMovie and your videos are a huge help. Thank you. I do have one question that nobody seems to cover. When adding split screen videos, I am adding a different camera angles that recorded the same event, therefore it is important to time them together. I am finding this very difficult to do. I am basically deleting and re-adding the second video over and over until I can get it to line up. Surely there is a better way.

Hey Landii, so do add a border you'd need to add one clip above the other on the timline, then crop each clip (one from right, then one from left) Hope this helps!
