2:41 very helpful tip because that would drive me mad when splitting a clip with the ken burns applied. I did not know you could use that top button to switch the start and end. Thank you!

Are you able to zoom out with this pack? Like they do in gaming videos where you zoom out to the point footage is at 50% of the size.

Just bought this and Dylan's Motion plugins, and together they make for some awesome effects. If you want a little blur and have the Motion plugins, just drag in one of the blur effects from that pack onto the Pro Zoom title, and it'll add some realistic motion super easily. If you're on the fence, like I was, this plugin is awesome and a big time saver.

Hey Dylan, I'm really digging the Pro Burns plugin-it's been a total game-changer for me. Quick question, though: I've been trying to figure out how to adjust the pro burns zoom level in motion to then save it as a customized template. I watched your other video on how to do it with MotionVFX plugins, but I can't seem to find that zoom function in the Pro Burns plugin. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

This is really great, I bought your extension but I'm not sure how to make it work properly with images that are of various sizes? ill use spatial conform to make it fit the image but if the image is larger (longer or wider then the video aspect ratio) it just cuts off the rest of the image? is their a way to use the burns pro so its scaling across the large image that i'm maybe not understanding?
@TheFinalCutBro
@TheFinalCutBro Жыл бұрын
Hey Chris! Have you tried out the Effects version of the plugin? The Title version is going to be restricted to 16x9 unfortunately. But the effect version should conform to whatever aspect ratio you throw at it!

Zoom out feature doesn't seem to work even with build out checked and adjustment layer trimmed to clip. Only zooms in. Any advice?
@TheFinalCutBro
@TheFinalCutBro Жыл бұрын
Unfortunately due to limitations with FCP and Motion, the adjustment layer needs to be over 4 seconds for the build in and build out to work properly. But, if you make a cut in the middle, and deselect the build in on the second layer, you should be good to go.

Hello! The onion skin feature you added seems especially interesting to me... but I didn't quite understand how it works from the demonstration in this video. Is it getting the semi-transparent sample from the clip before the current clip, or the clip after? (And can that be toggled?)
@TheFinalCutBro
@TheFinalCutBro Жыл бұрын
Hey Jason! It’s showing both the current position from the frame your playhead is on, as well as the position before the camera starts to zoom. There is a checkbox to enable it, and a slider to set how visible each position is so that you can really dial in exactly where you need to be. You’ll just want to make sure you move your playhead forward in time (I typically go forward about 2 seconds) so that you can see the final position as well as the starting position. Hope that all makes sense! Appreciate you watching as always! 👊

of course I picked this up! quick question - I LOVE the on screen window. any way to keyframe that box? I use AddMotion for tutorials but would MUCH PREFER your plugin with it's on screen controls :)
@TheFinalCutBro
@TheFinalCutBro Жыл бұрын
So due to how the plugin has to work, it can’t really do keyframes without absolutely breaking apart. That said, you shouldn’t have to use keyframes if you’re using the pan feature that is built-in! If you want to adjust where the zoom is after the fact, just add the pan title underneath the zoom layer at the point where you want the camera to move. Move forward a couple seconds so that the pan animation will be complete, then drag the pan reticle to where you want the end position to be. Hope that helps!

I am having trouble clicking on the corner “dots” to scale the the zoom window bigger/smaller. I try to click and drag it about a hundred times before it finally works for seemingly no particular reason. I am using an Apple Magic Trackpad. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I’m doing wrong or what I need to do differently? 🤷‍♂️

Nothing you're doing wrong! One of the more recent updates to FCP has made this extremely difficult. It's unfortunately across all plugins that use the On Screen Controls box 😭 -- It's been frustrating me too! I'm hoping apple can fix that in a future update 😬

@Dylan Bates - With ProZooms and Pro Pans, are you able to do multiple zoom ins/pans and then zoom back out to the original view? For example a software demo starts full screen, you zoom in, then you pan to the left nav bar, then you pan to a widget on the right and then you want to pan back out to the original full screen - all on the same video file. Is this possible with your plugin and if so hows it done?

@@TheFinalCutBro - So what you did there could have zoomed back out to the original frame? How exactly is that done with these plugins? I'm trying to do this exact thing with mCam and it seems to be able to do all of this BUT the zoom back out to original. Also, does the motion blur/easing automatically apply to all of those pan movements underneath the zoom as well? - Happy to buy your plugin if it can do this
@TheFinalCutBro
@TheFinalCutBro Жыл бұрын
@@framewavemedia4831 so to zoom back out to the original, you just need to make sure that the “build-out” option is enabled. Then when you want to zoom back out, just trim the end of all the zoom/pan titles to the same length. Also make sure they have the same duration. If they all end at the same time, it will zoom out to how it was originally! That said, you should be able to have the mCamRig zoom out to its original state! Just make sure the build out feature is enabled. Might save you some money! I’ve used mCamRig quite a bit like how you’re describing

Something good about the Ken Burns effect in FCP is that you can use it on a big square image, 5000x5000 for instance. You can set the starting rectangle to a corner of the image, and the end one to the other side, and the result would be a nice animation over the image in the format (16:9 in my case) of the video project. Can something like that be recreated using Pro Zooms?
@TheFinalCutBro
@TheFinalCutBro Жыл бұрын
Yes you can! You will need to scale the photo / video up to whatever you want your starting point to be. Then you will need to apply the "Pro Burns Square" or "Pro Zooms Square" as an effect (not the title version). From there it will work as you described. Admittedly, I think the built-in ken burns effect may be a simpler option for this. So if that's your primary use case, I would say, save yourself some money! But if you are zooming a lot in other ways, then I can't recommend it enough.

does this work for vertical videos as well?
@TheFinalCutBro
@TheFinalCutBro Жыл бұрын
Yes it does! Though with a caveat. There's unfortunately a bug directly with Final Cut Pro that doesn't like vertical formatting. While the plugin works great for vertical videos, it unfortunately in rare instances (I have around 6 reports out of nearly 1,000 sales) it will export the video completely flipped. There's not really any sort of workaround I can seemingly do directly in the plugin, it is reliant on a bug fix from Apple with Final Cut Pro. That said, it's a pretty rare bug, but has been reported. I do also have some workarounds, the main one being, applying it directly as an effect has seemed to fix it in a lot of instances, rather than using the title version. Also I offer a 30 day money-back guarantee, so if it's not working for you, you can just let me know!
