Who Requires vendor assessment?
A trader/manufacturer having seller GeM registration has to undergo vendor assessment in order to sell his goods on the GeM portal.

How to do Vendor assessment on the GeM portal?
Vendor registration is done by the Quality Council of India [QCI].
A govt fee of INR 11,200/- + 18% GST is applicable, which is nonrefundable.
Seller’s products have to pass through quality assessment by QCI.
The manufacturer may be asked to obtain further certification.
OEM may be required to get ISO certification.
Which sellers exempt from Vendor assessment?
If Product is related to:-
(a) Stationery
(b) Artistic work or
(c) Handicraft
● If the seller has any of the following:-
ZED Cerficate
BIS License
NSIC Registration
MSME registration
