I almost won the last cruise ship match on the second try winning three rows and the opponent had no more turns. And I stupidly destroyed one of their cards for them to put a card that now made them win two rows and lost. Then it took 15 retries to win.

My favorite is Triple triad FF8 never played it at youth but then I decided to learn and it’s pretty much interesting until they added rules that make the game harder, only by defeating the queen you can remove a certain rule which was the most annoying part.

I've been losing like 10 times to these twins in chapter 4 and after watching this I immediately won. It's just like you said, I get so hung up on securing my back area and hung up on my big number cards, it made me lose control of the board everytime. The later in the game the cards get much more insane with replacement cards, destroying, buffing and debuffing cards and there are some really cool complex strats to use. Also, certain modes of the game - survival, or other modifiers to the board will change your loadout a bit.

yeah that's part of the reason I decided to make videos for early game, mid-game, and endgame. Because I could tell once I was at level 6s that endgame QB would be just a an absolutely shitshow.

The race to the most pawns doesn't work arould level 3-4 and up. The cpu always has a card with the right grid to overtake them

Im using the cactuar start top left, then ignis next to it, gives bottom 2nd spot +5, then titan under cactuar, and chocobo and moogle and ifrit (titan below cactuar sets up a 3 pawn below titan) cuz they get stronger when something is buffed

I had a feeling I was playing this wrong recently lol. I was focusing too much on trying to build numbers up and get my combo card going. New plan dominate the board, worry about numbers at the end :D - Thanks! Hmm, must be because I am a bit further in the game. While this has helped me massively I am still sometimes losing as the AI just takes over my pawn slots! Very frustrating but hopefully I will figure out how to stop that / get better cards! Man I had almost all tiles at one point then the AI went nuts and just destroyed a ton of cards at once and took over them all lol

It's a good strategy that gets harder to do as you move on. Building a good deck becomes more important because of the special cards the opponent plays. Like power up cards or cards that destroy. It's so much fun though.

Abilities. As you progress keep an eye on abilities. Some are so powerful that the power does not matter. I focus on abilities that either destroy the oppents cards or raise allied power. Be careful though. Some abilities will lower enemy cards power or destroy them as well as your own. I avoid these.

The game explains the basics pretty well and playing those three or four games in the first town really teaches you a lot. I've never played any card games in my life other than like poker Blackjack and those types of card games. But never any Pokemon or Magic the Gathering nothing like that. I was able to win all of those starting matches without looking up any tips. Now I'm just trying to get better before I reach the point where the game is going to ramp up the difficulty. I know it's coming

Queens blood for the most part is fairly simple. A simple enhancement deck can get you through most matches. Whats hard are the gold saucer challenges with the weird positions placements

Sorry, but this is still not enough to defeat Regina with the cards you have access to before the tournament. Been following all of these tips and learned the gane inside out enough to get to Regina, but it doesnt objectively change the fact that barely any of my cards have the same degree if synergy that Regina unfairly has. If you've ever played against her, then you know that she has a specific deck that you don't have access to. No joke ONE card from this deck has the ability to take up almost all the spaces on her side of the board while also buffing multiple spaces. So not only does this guarantee her placement in the center board by the 2nd turn, it continuously buffs and gives her free points the more cards she lays in the board (which is inevitable). It is not realistic of the developers to assume that the player has any chance with all the factors objectively rigged against the player who only has at most 3 cards that can work together to cover enough of the board to just START a match. Never mind finish one against Regina.

Those destruction decks are tricky to counter with the early decks. Once you get the Midgar serpent card at the Junon camp that unlocks after the first boss they become much easier to deal with.
