I had the same error... after changing these 3 things it worked: 1) Make sure you don´t have any app called: MS 365 2) Use the same destinations and names for the folders (desktop, bwinex, etc) 3) Run cmd "as administrator"

i successfully installed the office but when I open the apps - Word for example, and select Account, it says "this product is unlicensed. Connect to corporate network or contact system administrator" there is also a hyper link saying "change product key" can you assist? is this a full version of office or trial? would apps still work?

It's office 2024. In case your office shows office 2019, it means that you didn't fully uninstall office 2019 from your computer system. There are still office 2019 licenses left in your computer system. You can download the ms Office uninstall tool from Microsoft website and completely uninstall Ms. Office from your pc. Then, you reinstall Office 2024 using the same process here.

You can also disable or your antivirus and firewall because they might block office installation files. Check and see if the configuration file "bwinex.xml" is spelled correctly. Secondly, check and see if your computer does not have pending windows updates. If it has , 1st update the pc and then restart the process.
